In 19th-century Europe, a young man by the name of "Victor" (voiced by Johnny Depp, "Finding Neverland") travels, accompanied by a friend, back to his village to marry his fiancвБ Victoria (voiced by Emily Watson, "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers"). When the duo stop to rest in the woods, Victor jokingly slips Victoria's wedding band onto a finger-shaped stick protruding from the ground and practices his wedding vows. Oddly enough, the stick is actually the rotting finger of a murdered girl (voiced by Helena Bonham-Carter, "Big Fish"), who returns from the dead to proclaim herself as Victor's lawfully-wedded wife. Poor Victor. Will this underworld bride keep him from his one true love? Tim Burton's animated film "Corpse Bride" arrives in theaters Fall 2005.
